What is product diversion?
If you don’t  know the  answer to this question  -  you’re not alone,  but odds are you’ve bought diverted products. Professional hair products are lining the shelves of grocery stores, drug stores, mass retailers and even the internet. While Trade Secret and ULTA are technically salons, they are actually retail venues that happen to have a couple of salon chairs and sink bowls placed in the back.  Salon professional products you find outside of a salon are considered to be ‘diverted’.

How does it work?

In general terms, product diversion refers to products sold by unauthorized  manufacturers  that  are  distributed into  markets  other than originally intended.

Why is it bad?
Diverted products can be counterfeit, diluted, contaminated or expired formulas. The products look the same, sometimes they smell the same and they appear to be just like what is purchased at the salon. Diverted product is often not safe, more expensive and, in many cases, may not even be real.

We ask you this question...

Why would you spend your hard-earned money on salon visits, and then buy the wrong product to maintain your hair?  Your hair will not reach  it's optimum potential. Many professional products should be recommended by a trained professional to insure proper use. Salon products have higher concentrations of some formulations that should be used only as directed.

As hair care professionals, we can tell you what products will work for your particular hair type. We can give you little ‘insider’ tips on optimal use  of  each product and why a product will,  or will not work for each client. We want our clients to have beautiful, healthy hair...because we care.
